2024-25 Club Season Tryout Registration & Check-In:

Complete the online registration with player information, parent information, and $75 payment before June 10 or $100 on or after June 10. All players must pre-register online. You will need a copy of your birth certificate to complete registration. 

Check-in at tryouts begins one hour before the scheduled start time. We highly encourage that you arrive early to ensure your registration is complete & receive your tryout number. 

In previous years, there has been additional paperwork to submit prior to the tryout. All forms have either been made electronic and will be submitted upon registering or will be collected following team selection. 

Tryout Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I arrive at tryouts? When is check-in?
Check-in on the day of tryouts begins 60 minutes before the scheduled start time. We highly encourage that you arrive at that time to ensure all can begin tryouts at the scheduled start time. 

What should I bring and/or wear to tryouts? 
You need to come ready to play with your normal volleyball gear which should be comfortable athletic attire and tennis shoes. We also recommend bringing a water bottle.  All players will be given a tryout number at check-in. 

What happens at the tryout? 
Players will conduct a series of evaluations ranging from skills, athleticism, and game play. Minimal feedback or coaching will be provided to the athletes during the evaluations. The purpose of the tryout is to evaluate the athletes and best place them on a club team.

Can parents stay at the tryout?
Yes, you are welcome to watch the tryout in the gym or hang out in the lobby. However, parents are not allowed on the courts at any point in time and should not interact with your child while on court or any coaches conducting the tryout. If you have questions during the tryout, you can speak with someone at the front desk. 

How much are club fees if I am selected for a team? 
Fees vary based on age & level of the team. Your fees will include practices, tournament entry fees, coaches fees, facility fees, and administration fees. Travel is not included in your club fees. Season fees can be setup on a monthly payment plan or paid in full at tryouts. For more information on our pricing, please email admin@ovavolleyball.com. 

Are the teams already selected before tryouts begin? 
Nobody has made a team before the tryout. Our goal is to field the most competitive team while producing a great team culture to have a successful season. 

What do I do if I am selected for a team? 
If you are selected for a team, a coach will talk to you and ask you to talk to your parents to confirm your spot. Upon confirming your spot, there will be additional paperwork in the lobby and you will submit a $500 deposit. Do not leave without first confirming your spot and completing the necessary paperwork and payment. 

What if I can not make any of the tryouts date listed or I am injured? 
If you can't make the original tryout dates, please pre-register for the make-up tryout date. If you can not make that or are injured, please email us at admin@ovavolleyball.com to discuss. 

What if I want to play up and try out for an older age division? 
We highly encourage that players try out for their own age division. You can reference the USAV Age Division chart on this page. If you would like for OVA to consider you playing up an age division, please contact admin@ovavolleyball.com.
